Driver Pulse App Guide for Drivers
This guide is designed to help our drivers use the Driver Pulse app by Tenstreet. At C & J Trucking of Iowa, we use this app specifically for your monthly safety training and for managing your driver qualification files
Monthly Safety Training Videos
To keep our fleet safe and compliant, we send out a mandatory safety video each month.
Additionally, as part of our Monthly Safety Review, specific training videos may be assigned based on multiple safety events recorded in Motive during the previous month. (These videos are also accessed through Driver Pulse.)
How to Access Your Training:
- Email Notification: You will receive an email from Tenstreet whenever a new safety video is assigned to you.
- In-App Tasks: Open the Driver Pulse app and look for the "Tasks" button on your dashboard. Your assigned video will be listed there.
- Completion: Watch the video in its entirety to ensure it is marked as complete in our system.
Note: This is a key part of our safety program and is required for all drivers, and is included in our monthly bonus program
Managing Your Driver Qualification Files
We use Driver Pulse to securely collect and store important documents required for your driver qualification file.
How to Upload Requested Documents:
If we request a document from you (such as an updated Medical Card or Driver's License), follow these steps:
- Open the App: Log in to Driver Pulse and tap the "Docs" button beneath your profile picture.
- Start Upload: Tap the Camera icon at the top of the screen.
- Capture/Select File: Take a clear photo of your document or select the file from your phone.
- Review & Label: Tap "Next" to preview the image. Select the correct Document Type (e.g., CDL, Medical Card).(Note: If you select "CDL," the app will also ask for your expiration date.)
- Finish: Tap "Finish" to complete the upload. You will receive a notification once it's successful.
How to Send Documents:
If you've already uploaded a document to your Pulse profile and need to send it to us:
- Tap "Docs" -> "Profile Documents."
- Tap the three dots next to the document you want to send.
- Select "Send to Company."
- Choose C & J Trucking of Iowa from the list and tap "Finish."
Important Reminders:
App Usage:
We primarily use Tenstreet for your initial application, monthly safety videos, and document requests. You do not need to use the other features of the app for your work at C & J, but it can be helpful in other areas, such as their Truck-Specific Navigation Program, True Fuel, Sweepstakes, Etc.
Stay Updated:
Please ensure you have notifications enabled for Driver Pulse so you don't miss important document requests or safety training alerts.
Document Clarity:
When uploading photos of your CDL or Medical Card, ensure the text is clear, and all four corners of the document are visible.
